DeskPi RackMate T1 10-Inch 8U Server Cabinet
The DeskPi RackMate T1 is the rack that made 10-inch mini-labs popular. Its 8U of space suits a typical three node Proxmox cluster, a small switch, a patch panel and a power strip, all in a unit that sits on a desk or shelf.
DeskPi builds the main structure from die-cast aluminium up to 10mm thick, with translucent acrylic side panels that keep dust out, reduce weight and let you see (or light) the kit inside. The open front and rear make fitting devices and running cables easy, and help with airflow. It is available in silver or black.
The T1 is part of DeskPi's 200mm depth family and uses #10-32 threaded rails. That depth is the key thing to check: with about 75mm needed behind each device for cables, devices much over 125mm deep will be tight. Lenovo Tiny and Dell Micro PCs are around 183mm deep, so for those, the 260mm deep RackMate T2 is the safer fit. Our configurator checks this for you.
Highlights
- 8U of 10-inch rack space
- 10mm thick die-cast aluminium structure
- Translucent acrylic sides for dust protection and visibility
- Open front and rear for easy access and airflow
- #10-32 threaded rails, 200mm deep
- Silver or black finish
Compatibility notes
- Takes 200mm-family DeskPi accessories (T0/T1/TT). T2/Plus 260mm shelves are a poor fit.
- For Lenovo Tiny, Dell Micro or HP Mini PCs, check depth first: the T2 (260mm) is usually the better choice.
- #10-32 screws. Kenable 10-inch accessories can be fitted with #10-32 screws rather than M6 cage nuts.

Frequently asked questions
Is the T1 good for a three node Proxmox cluster?
Yes, provided your nodes are shallow enough. Very small nodes such as Raspberry Pis fit easily; 1-litre PCs around 183mm deep are better suited to the 260mm T2.
What is the load rating?
DeskPi says the frame can carry heavy IT equipment such as a UPS or NAS, but does not publish a figure we can confirm. Load rating: TBC.
Do you sell a UK edition?
Yes. Our RackMate T1 UK Edition Builder Kit adds a genuine UK 13A PDU, shelves, patching and #10-32 screws.
